That NightWe were paddling down a tumultuous river in the Amazon, or was it somewhere near here? Almir and I weren't in sync at all. His powerful stroke I felt while I lifted my paddle and then, slowly, I found his tempo. Two warriors then paddled in unison, down this river unknown to both. The glide was so overwhelming when they reached the last rapids, they literally jumped over them with the force of their effort, and all passengers went flying in the open air, only to land safely and softly on their feet, before an oceanfront. |
